ACO’s new ShowerDrain+ delivers versatility, styling and performance

Drainage specialist, ACO Building Drainage, has launched ShowerDrain Plus, its new, all-stainless steel shower drainage system that is designed to provide optimum styling, performance and ease-of-use across a wide range of conventional and specialist applications. Ideal for sheet and tiled floor finishes, its compact, corrosion-resistant and attractive design makes it suitable for shallow depth installations, corrosive and hygiene-sensitive areas, and appearance-critical wet rooms and bespoke bathrooms.

There are two ShowerDrain Plus configurations, ‘SDP-F’ for flexible sheet flooring applications and ‘SDP-T’ for tiled, resin and cementitious floors. Both are manufactured from 304-grade stainless steel and fitted with electropolished surface gratings – circular (225mm diameter) on the SDP-F, and square (150mm side) on the SDP-T model. All configurations are compatible with ACO Pipe stainless steel pipework and all conventional plastic waste pipe sizes.

“The all-stainless steel construction delivers three significant benefits: it removes any possibility of corrosion, provides the durability required to ensure optimum performance in the toughest of environments and gives a finish that can complement any drainage environment,” says Martin Fairley, Division Director at ACO Building Drainage. “In combination with the strength of the floor mountings and gratings, ShowerDrain Plus is a truly versatile system capable of withstanding pedestrian and wheelchair traffic and being used in virtually all domestic, leisure, hospital, commercial and industrial arenas.”

The system provides a high drainage capacity of 1.2 l/s and is easy to maintain and clean. All models are fitted with removable foul air traps that are easily accessed directly beneath the surface gratings. Both the SDP-F and SDP-T are packaged with all the components necessary to complete installation and onward connection.
