Shot-firing! Knock it on the head with the new HAMMER-ON Fixing
from Ancon
Ancon has launched a new ‘HAMMER-ON’ fixing to tie
masonry to structural steelwork without shot-firing or
site drilling.
This new fixing is quick, simple and safe to install. No
power tools are required, eliminating the dangers
associated with shot-firing and drilling including the
exposure of site operatives to Hand-Arm Vibration (HAV).
The Hammer-On fixing is one of six innovative Non-Drill
fixing solutions from Ancon. Each fixing either abuts
the steel or attaches to the flange to restrain masonry
walls against lateral wind loads.
Ancon’s new NON-DRILL range has been welcomed by Gerry
Anderson, Construction Director of Irvine Whitlock Ltd
who says,
“We have used Ancon’s non-drill ties on various
projects. The fixing time is dramatically reduced and
the work area is safer”.
