Ardex adhesives are a winner at Gala Bingo

ARDEX UK’s innovatively designed floorcovering adhesives range continues to dominate the flooring marketplace as the industry's preferred range of floorcovering adhesives. When Peter Evans Flooring, one of the country's leading flooring contractors, were commissioned by Powells Shopfitting Services Ltd of Andover to install the new floorcoverings at Gala Bingo's new Bristol location, they did not hesitate in specifying ARDEX. Due to the restricted timescales involved, the project required meticulous organisation to install the floorcoverings overnight, working in conjunction with other trades such as electricians and furniture installers.

A range of ARDEX floorcovering adhesives were utilised throughout the installation and ensured product compatibility, premium performance and reliability. Specifically designed for the UK flooring market, ARDEX floorcovering adhesives offer technically advanced formulations which are solvent free with very low odour and high yield. For fixing the Durafit System underlay, ARDEX AF 890 Surface Tackifier was specified. Odourless when dry with a short drying time and permanent tack, ARDEX AF 890 is equally effective when roller or spray applied.

To lay the 1500m2 of Axminster carpets, ARDEX AF 200 General Purpose Carpet Adhesive was selected. ARDEX AF 200 benefits include a solvent free formulation, low odour and high yield. It also offers ease of application and superb wet grab with an exceptionally long tack time, plus good early and long term adhesive strength. Highly versatile, ARDEX AF 200 is suitable for adhering a wide range of textile floorcoverings including fibre bonded, needle punch, latex and rubber foam backed, hessian, felt and resin backed carpets, along with some PVC-based sheet and tiles.

For installation of the vinyl floorcoverings, ARDEX AF 100 Pressure Sensitive Acrylic Flooring Adhesive was used. Incorporating ARDEX’s technically advanced floorcovering adhesives technology, ARDEX AF 100 is the ideal adhesive for use with all types of PVC/Vinyl floorcoverings and can be applied by trowel and then rolled to remove serration marks.
