Ardex industrial flooring system hits the sweet spot for food design

The proven partnership of ARDEX UK, leading manufacturer of high performance industrial flooring systems and LASERCROFT FLOORING of Hull, specialist installers of seamless resin floor systems, worked together to provide the perfect industrial flooring solution on behalf of Food Design of Harrogate, market leaders in the manufacture of innovative fudge and toffee inclusions for the food industry.

As part of Food Design’s half million pound factory expansion, it was necessary to refurbish the 250m2 floor and personnel areas of the warehouse, which had been designated for future use as a production facility. It was essential that a level and durable floor was installed which would withstand heavy production equipment and stringent hygiene routines. Specifically developed to be suitable for use in food processing environments, drinks production, dairies and general heavy duty plant and traffic areas, ARDEX R 80 P Heavy Duty Polyurethane Screed was specified as the ideal solution.

ARDEX R 80 P is a high performance, slip resistant polyurethane resin flooring system, which is ideally suited for use in aggressive areas where a seamless, joint free finish is required and maximum cleanliness is vital. Available in a range of colours, ARDEX R 80 P is supplied as four components in pre-measured packs for ease of on site mixing and use.

As a result of continuous research and development, alongside extensive quality control and innovative production technology, ARDEX’s industrial flooring products work together as an integrated system offering total product compatibility and market leading performance.
