Ardex floor covering adhesives arrive on schedule at airport hotel

In choosing ARDEX UK’s high performance floorcovering adhesives, specialist flooring contractors Peter Evans Flooring could be sure the new £5.3 million, 111 bed Express by Holiday Inn hotel at Cardiff International Airport would open on schedule. Peter Evans Flooring was commissioned by Alfred McAlpine to install the floorcoverings throughout the hotel. Floorcovering adhesives from ARDEX have been proven throughout a range of installations to deliver outstanding performance and reliability, so there was no hesitation in specifying them to fulfil the project demands with ease.

The project required the installation of Gaskell carpets throughout the hotel bedrooms and corridors using ARDEX AF 200 General Purpose Carpet Adhesive. Specifically developed for the UK flooring market, ARDEX AF 200 offers a technically advanced formulation, which is solvent free, low odour and provides high yield. In addition, ARDEX AF 200 is easy to apply and has superb wet grab and an exceptionally long tack time, with very good early and long term adhesive strength. Designed to be versatile, ARDEX AF 200 is suitable for adhering a wide range of textile floorcoverings including fibre bonded, needle punch, latex and rubber foam backed, hessian, felt and resin backed carpets, along with some PVC-based sheet and tiles.

Altro Designer 25 floorcovering was then fixed throughout the kitchen areas using ARDEX AF 150 adhesive for PVC sheet and tiles. ARDEX AF 150 has established itself as the preferred adhesive for all types of PVC/vinyl. The advanced floorcovering adhesive technology featured in ARDEX AF 150 includes solvent free formulation, exceptionally low odour and high yield, producing a perfect finish to the project.
