Newsflash – Lindab/CADvent Agreement with Autodesk Marks New
Milestone for Autodesk Building Systems
Autodesk has announced a new joint marketing
agreement with Lindab, the leading European ventilation
systems manufacturer and developer of CADvent software.
As a result, Autodesk Building Systems (ABS) users will
be able to insert Lindab components, including its
world-renowned ventilation ductwork products, directly
into their designs.
They will also be able to use CADvent with ABS to
produce complex system designs with an integrated system
calculation module, complete bill of materials,
specifying the exact Lindab ductwork needed. This will
mean faster designs, fewer special orders, and no
over-ordering leading to waste.
“This partnership marks a new milestone for ABS on its
way to becoming an industry standard,” says Pete Baxter,
sales director, Northern Europe, Autodesk Building
Solutions Division. “It will add significant value for
ABS users, enabling them to more quickly and accurately
specify components and so work more cost-effectively.”
