France Energie Scoops the front page with Reed
Carlyle Environmental Ltd has supplied a total of 324
Water Source Heat Pumps manufactured by France Energie
et Cie to Reed Business Information for their Quadrant
House headquarters in Sutton, Surrey. A further 180 have
been ordered and will be installed commencing October
2005.
The existing Versatemp units, having given faithful
service for some 25 years, were coming to the end of
their useful life. It was therefore decided that the
terminal units required changing for newer, more
efficient models.
Carlyle Environmental Ltd, the sole UK agent for France
Energie, provided a sample from the ARO range of
wall/floor mounted models and after some 6 months of
site operation and appraisal was awarded the order for
the replacement of the existing.
The ARO models ordered, installed by Celsius
Environmental Services Ltd of Portsmouth, provide 2.5 kW
of total cooling with a sound level of NR 35. The units
are complete with R407c refrigerant, linear aluminium
supply grille with hinged section for access to
controls, linear aluminium return air grille and sheet
metal cabinet finished in satin texture to RAL 9010.
Inbuilt, digital controllers by Siemens provide PI
control of the set point with automatic changeover from
heating to cooling and manually adjustable set points
and fan speed control. Diagnostic LED indication is
provided for HP, LP and LWT trips.
Carlyle Environmental Ltd is able to supply Water Source
Heat Pumps from the France Energie range of total
cooling capacities from 1.2 kW to 30.0kW inclusive. The
range comprises ARO wall/floor mounted models, APMO low
height wall/floor mounted models, HRO horizontal ducted
ceiling models, VRO vertical floor units and the unique
K7RO ceiling cassette model. A range of HRO RSA models
specially treated for Hotel applications enable
extremely low sound levels to be achieved. A wall
mounted, architecturally enclosed model has been tested
in a hotel bedroom at
30.5 dB (a).
