DECRA Launches The Ultimate In Elegance
Decra, world pioneers of lightweight roofing
solutions, have launched to UK specifiers a new
satin-finish steel tile that uses the same paint
technology as Audi engineering.
The Elegance tile, which is available in three satin
finishes – graphite, mocca and terracotta – adopts the
Decra trend of an additional protective coating on its
underside which is unique to the brand and gives it even
greater longevity.
Elegance has been produced using a unique four-stage
manufacturing process as opposed to the usual two
stages. Each tile has been cleaned, dried, painted and
baked, with a powder coating on the upper surface as
opposed to the traditional Decra granular coating.
Weighing just 5.47kg/m² which is one ninth lighter than
the concrete equivalent, but with the same texture,
appearance and allure as clay, they can be used on
minimal roof pitches - down to 10º - as well as for
vertical hanging, giving architects and designers
complete design flexibility.
The tiles are backed by another first - a unique 30-year
guarantee that covers not just the tiles but also the
complete weather security of the entire roof, In
addition, they can be backed by the QA+ insurance-backed
guarantee for installed systems including materials and
labour, again to give specifiers and contractors
ultimate peace of mind in today’s risk conscious culture
Easy to handle and quick to install in all weather
conditions, the low-maintenance Decra Elegance satin
tile is the latest addition to the comprehensive Decra
range – the pantile Classic, extra-thick Plus, the slate
double Stratos, and the clay plain tile double Oberon.
As a member of the global Icopal group, all Decra tiles
can be complemented by systems for ventilation,
underlays and membranes, eaves protection, warm roof
insulated tile support and rainwater.
