Top dancers insist on Harlequin Cascade

Last April Andrew Ward organized an Easter dance school at Dulwich College and naturally turned to Harlequin to furnish the flooring. His testimonial clearly explains why the choice of floor is important and why dancers want a floor they are familiar with when performing in a new venue.

Andrew takes up the story in his own words. ‘As an ex-dancer with The Royal Ballet and soloist with the Boston Ballet I have been used to rehearsing and performing on the world’s best dance floor - Harlequin Cascade. Last year, I set up the Dance Forward Easter Dance School. A world-class dance faculty, including Jonathan Cope, Bryony Brind, Wayne Eagling, Irek Mukhamedov and Wayne Sleep, was the starting point. As an ex-dancer and now a guest teacher, I know how important it is to have a specialist dance floor you can rely on. As a dancer, Cascade gives you the confidence to risk going for the extra pirouette or tours en l’air knowing you have a surface that will perform for you every step of the way. When I asked Martin Harvey and Sarah Lamb, First Soloists of The Royal Ballet, to perform at my Easter School the first question was ‘what is the floor like?’ I said ‘Cascade’. Martin replied ‘That’s perfect’ what are the dates!’

Now established in its second year Andrew had such a good response from the students and parents he will certainly be repeating it next year.
