Installer collects Mercedes van, enjoys German tour and sees World Cup Final, all as overall winner in the Honeywell Goal Rush

Heating installer Peter Hadley of West Suffolk Heating has collected his new Mercedes Vito van, the second part of his prize as overall winner in the Honeywell Goal Rush promotion. The first part of his prize was a “once in a lifetime” trip to Germany where his prize included tickets to both the World Cup final and Third Place Play-off.

Peter collected his van from Orwell Truck and Van, his local Mercedes dealer, in Ipswich. His winning ticket was inside a Honeywell pack bought from Plumb Center in Sudbury, where he is a regular customer.

Peter has been loyal to Honeywell thermostats, programmers and valves throughout his thirty years in the trade. “Honeywell is the one brand installers and users can trust for reliability and serviceability,” he says. “I know they won’t give any trouble – if they did, I wouldn’t get any work done! And nearly all my work comes through recommendations, which shows how important it is to do a good job and install reliable products.”

Peter took his son Ian on the German trip. First they visited Stuttgart, where the prize included a visit to the Mercedes museum.

They returned to their hotel for an overnight stay before watching the World Cup Third Place play-off between Germany and Portugal, only to find the hotel under siege, as it was also home to the German team. On the Saturday, they watched Germany – with plenty of local support – beat Portugal.

On Sunday, after a short flight to Berlin, Peter and Ian went to the historic Olympiastadion where they saw Italy triumph over France in the final.

Heating installers can still win instant prizes from Honeywell Goal Rush scratch cards and collect and redeem tokens for Sony 26” flat screen TVs and other Sony electronic items, until the promotion closes on 31 August 2006. Scratch cards and tokens are included a wide range of Honeywell products, including the wired and RF (“wireless”) CM60 programmable thermostat range, models VT117 and VT200 radiator thermostats, D05 Series pressure reducing valves and SmartAct actuators for valves and dampers in HVAC applications.
