OCS wins Lamb and Edge client contract

Leading cradle access specialist, OCS Technical, has signed a 5 year contract with clients of Chartered Surveyors Lamb & Edge to provide maintenance services for one site.

OCS has worked with Lamb & Edge for over 5 years, providing an annual maintenance service of its cradle systems for clients. During this time a good working relationship has developed and now, thanks to the team’s proven track record, OCS has secured a new contract which increases the service to include additional emergency call out cover.

Chris Cracknell, chief executive of OCS said: “We have worked with Lamb & Edge for several years. They are aware of the helpful and professional manner in which we approach the maintenance and testing work carried out at their sites, and have trust in the work that we do.

“We are thrilled to be providing a comprehensive, quality service to this longstanding contract for a further five years, and the new agreement reassures Lamb & Edge that if any unforeseen problems occur on site, the emergency call outs will be included in the package.”

Incorporated in the contract is a preventative maintenance programme that will entail site specific Risk Assessments. The assessments are critical to ensure the safety of cleaning and maintenance staff (such as window cleaners) when working on a building where there is a risk of slips or falls from a height, or electrocution from outdoor cables. Safety measures concerning all building access equipment, such as window cleaning cradles, are also taken into consideration.

The thorough inspections and assessments undertaken by OCS ensure that maintenance is carried out with a clear knowledge of the building, which includes identifying the best working methods for each different situation. In this way, experts at OCS can support clients by providing safe working conditions which adhere to regulations and comply with British, European and International standards.
