Siesta 7 FS ‘Flash Streamer’

Daikin’s 4th generation air purifier offers improvements at all levels.

Allergy sufferers and others who appreciate the value of clean air can take heart. With the MC707 Air Purifier, Daikin has brought its formidable innovative tradition – honed in the residential and commercial climate control sector – to bear on this growing market segment. The new technology means cleaner air and increased performance with the same whisper quiet operation in an aesthetically pleasing design.

A breath of pure air
Air quality is often measured by the presence or absence of undesirable substances in the air. These range from allergens and heavy allergens – a mix of allergens with adjuvant substances that can be present in the air, such as diesel exhaust particles, formaldehyde, etc, – to airborne viruses and odours. The new Daikin unit removes 99.6% of allergens including mites and pollen, 99.99% of bacteria, and breaks down 95% of odours.

Technology to the rescue
The MC707 introduces two important improvements over previous designs: the 8-layer filtering system includes a new bio-antibody filter and – a Daikin exclusive – the Flash Streamer.
After larger particles have been removed out by the prefilter, the bio-antibody filter comes into action. This active filter based on antibodies removes viruses from the air in approximately 1 minute.

The high-speed electrons emitted by the Flash Streamer have a two-fold benefit. Chemical substances such as formaldehyde are removed by the oxidative action brought about by the presence of these electrons. Plus the action of the unit’s photocatalytic filters has been greatly enhanced by the Flash Streamer. The result: the removal of more allergens and adjuvant substances, increased disinfection power and improved odour breakdown.

Quiet and easy operation, practical design
Designed to purify rooms up to 48m2 (a 17% improvement over previous models), operation of the MC707 is whisper quiet (down to 16 dbA in silent mode). It fits any décor, is easy to carry and is available in two colours. Handy features include an easy-to-use remote control and a maintenance friendly design: the MC707 has an easy-to-clean flat panel and comes with a seven-year supply of pleated main filters (one filter per year under average room conditions). The active bio-antibody filter must be replaced 1 year after being unsealed to maintain the effectiveness of this part of the system.
