Fast Framework Fixing with Stadon Stud Plug

There is now a simple and speedy alternative for connecting internal framework to block or brickwork in supporting walls. It’s Stud Plug from Stadon Level. Stud Plug is a patented moulded insert that is positioned between courses in much the same way as wall-ties are laid. It provides a clear fixing point that does not impose undesirable stresses on the wall structure and yet securely retains standard fasteners. Stud Plug also eliminates the need for chiselling out of mortar and the preparation of inserts or pegs and is ideal for internal ‘soft’ or partition walls as well as door casings.

Two versions are available, standard SP, covering general fixing requirements and SP+, especially suited for the installation of door cases. SP+ features an integral spacer projecting beyond the wall surface to allow adjustment for alignment and also provides sufficient room to attach architrave after the wall has been skimmed and plastered or dry-lined. The spacer can be sawn to length in situ.

Stud Plug is also appropriate for window installation. Frames can be securely fixed at pre-selected points around the window aperture without the need for drilling into masonry. With SP+ also mortared vertically into the inner wall at suitable intervals a uniform yet adjustable support for window boards is available.

Stud Plug complements the existing Stadon Level range of inter-locking plastic wedges, plastic packers and hanger shims and is another innovative product designed to simplify life for the builder and joiner.
