Wavin Plastics satisfies the thirst for Motocross

Motocross Of Nations 2006, the crème de la crème of this year’s Motocross racing calendar, 23-24 September, is to be supported by Wavin Plastics.

The 2006 site at Matterley basin near Winchester will be supplied with all the Wavin Osma piping and water storage facilities required to provide optimum conditions for riders from all over the world to compete in this prestigious event.

The piping will pump water up hill from a nearby farm into a storage facility. The collected water will be used to make sure the track stays dust free and maintains a top-class riding surface. Also, pipe and drainage will be in place for the power-washing facilities, and all the temporary drinking water will be pumped around the paddock through the Osma range of potable water pipe.

Steve Dixon from the Bike It Yamaha UK Grand Prix team, and co-promoter of the event at Matterley basin, says: “Wavin is one of the key suppliers enabling the Motocross Of Nations 2006 to happen. Without a system to get water to and around the track or have an environmentally friendly power wash area, this event could not go ahead.

“It’s great to have a leading brand like Osma on board that will help promote this major race to a new audience outside of Motocross.”
