Wernick Hire investment tops £40m

Wernick Hire, a member of the Wernick Group of Companies, continues to strengthen its position as a market leader for the provision of modular accommodation with the acquisition of Scotia Kabins in Nairn near Inverness.

This acquisition is the latest purchase in Wernick Hire’s strategic growth plan enabling the company to offer a local service through their network of 27 hire depots and 6 divisional sales offices. These are located throughout Britain, stretching from Land’s End to John O’Groats.

The total investment that Wernick Hire has made in both acquisitions and organic growth has topped £40 million in the past eighteen months and has made it one of the leading companies in its sector.

Scotia Kabins, established in 1968, is the leading supplier of modular and portable buildings in the north of Scotland, with 1000 units in the fleet. David Wernick commented that, “the combination of Scotia Kabins’ local knowledge and client base combined with Wernick Hire’s management experience and financial strength is a formula for success”. He added, “This is a good strategic addition in our trading position in Scotland and will give us the presence we have long felt we needed in the north”.
