Wieland and D-LINE Make the Connection with Easy Home Wiring Kit

Wieland Electric's gesis® MINI compact pluggable installation system has been used by surface wiring experts D LINE in its Easy Home Wiring Kit, a revolutionary new way of installing extra sockets.

Socket's have pre-wired leads with gesis® MINI connector's that simply click together. Sockets are secured to the surface via keyhole fixings. Connectors and cabling are concealed in D-Line’s patented click-lock hinged decorative trunking. Power is provided from an existing socket outlet that the customer dedicates to the new radial circuit, and is protected by a 13 amp fuse. Easy to purchase, all components are presented in kit form.

The system elements are pre-assembled and come with a mechanical coding system to prevent miss-matching according to regulation standard VDE 0606 T200. An adaptor lead combines gesis® MINI with gesis® CON, providing an installation system with more than 5,000 components and unlimited applications. Even the most confined spaces are not a problem.

The gesis® MINI system is not low voltage, it has a current rating of 250V and 16A. As such, this versatile 3-pole mains connector system has the same current rating as the popular gesis® CON GST18i connector but is only 70% of the size with a width of just 23mm. The cables are secured by screws and the components simply snap together for ease of assembly and can be released easily with a screwdriver, allowing enormous reductions in installation time and costs. Retrofit can also be implemented quickly and easily. As with all of the gesis® range the live female contacts are finger-protected even when disconnected.
